Q. Is Calcorp’s high pressure cleaning environmentally friendly?

Yes, it certainly is. We are committed to maintaining our standards of excellence, which serve as an industry benchmark.

Our environmental policy, a comprehensive ISO 14001 certified, Environmental Management System, embodies this commitment. Constantly striving to improve our environmental profile, Calcorp Services minimises our impact on the environment through:

  • Low water use: we minimise our use of water through the use of customised high pressure water cleaners
  • Protecting the waterways: our environmental management practices virtually eliminate the potential for debris to enter stormwater systems, using special filters to trap silt, oil, and litter which is then removed and appropriately disposed of off-site
  • Minimising chemical usage: minimisation of chemical use, for example using chemicals in graffiti removal only if deemed absolutely necessary, as well as using only biodegradable or natural products
  • Noise reduction: our equipment has been specifically custom built to reduce noise emissions, well below industry standard levels
  • Recycling: disposal of waste collected from work sites to their depot or a registered treatment facility for hazardous waste. Paper, cardboard, glass, metal, and plastic are kept out of landfills

Q. I have some graffiti on a brick wall. Can it be removed without damaging the surface?

Yes, in 99 per cent of cases. In order to remove the graffiti safely and effectively, specialised pressure cleaning equipment and procedures are required. We will assess your individual circumstances and discuss the required solution – be it water-only or chemical graffiti removal – with you. We also provide protective coatings to eliminate future graffiti problems.

Q. Are anti-graffiti coatings a permanent solution? And can I safely apply them myself?

Our anti-graffiti coatings last for years, not only making surfaces non-responsive to any form of graffiti attacks, but also working as general protective coatings for surfaces.

As with all of our products, Calcorp’s protective coatings are environmentally friendly, safe and easy to use. These anti-graffiti coatings also help preserve the original texture and shine of surfaces, and are hydro- and oleophobic.
